After i installed 4.0.0 my server keeps restaring/crashing

There is a new beta out: C-D Beta forum - If its a linux server, try: "cdusethread 0" in server.cfg
What port does the C-D server use?
It does not use any ports; it uses the HL message system. If HL works, you have all the needed ports forwarded/open.
Can I log C-D detections?
Detections made by C-D will remain a secret between C-D and the user. Admin won't know about them.
After I install C-D my server lags
C-D does very little server side, it only sends the challenge message to the client. (22 bytes every few minutes)
What is metamod, and where can I get it?
metamod.org. Simply put Metamod allows multiple server side mods to communicate with the HLDS server.
Do I need to install metamod?
No check the readme.
Should I run HLGuard and C-D together ?
HLGuard has features that C-D does not have, here is a simple run down:
HLG WallHack block/Aimbot detection:
- HLG has server side WallHack block/Aimbot detectio. C-D has this feature client side, but if someone managed to get by C-D
- HLG they would be able to Wallhack. With HLGuard's server side Wallhack block, they would be blocked. Also, if you're running C-D in optional mode, HLGuard
- HLG Wallhack block is recommended. (Note that we have still any cheats that would break C-D's Wallhack block.)
Alias & Cvar checks:
- C-D does not detect any scripts. Only HLG does this.
I dont have a plugins.ini
You can make it with any text editor, like notepad or emacs.
Can I force only players with a high kill rate to use C-D?
Yes, this feature is called "mediator". We have a thread containing the known mediators Here
Can I make C-D optional on the server?
Add this to server.cfg: cdrequired 0
Can I disable C-D on the server for a short time?
rcon cdrequired -1
Metamod is not working, now what ?
Try to re-download it. And read metamod.org/metamod , that should help.
Why can't I run C-D and VAC ?
Basicly VAC and CD both detects client hooks, and VAC would detect the C-D client.
I installed both the client and the server. I can't host a listenserver.
If you host games you only need the C-D client. C-D server is only for dedicated servers.
