Description

HLSW is a game server administration and browser tool developed by Timo Stripf. HLSW was originally designed for Half-Life 1 (goldsrc) based games but has since been updated to include all of the most popular First Person Shooters. While game monitoring and searching is supported on all games, RCON support is limited as not all games support an RCON protocol or make it publicly available. A full list of available games including which games support RCON is available on the Supported Games page.

Products

HLSW's primary development is in the game administration tool itself, however, it has developed a number of side projects to show case new features or provide as aids.

HLSW Mobile

A stripped down version of HLSW has been made available for Windows CE/Mobile that provides only the most needed features. While RCON support is not yet available, it is a planned feature for future versions.

PocketHLSW

PocketHLSW is a Google Gadget developed to show case the XML feeds available from HLSW. PocketHLSW provides a means of generating a quick list of ten servers using a range of filters to get quick access into game servers. Also provides a buddy list viewer and RSS feed viewer.

LogMod

LogMod is a MetaMod plugin for Half-Life and game servers, which provides several pieces of information about the game server itself and the current players for use by HLSW, which are not natively available within Steam or other game server browsers.

With this plugin it's possible to check information about the current players from different online pages, leagues and communities, e.g. the Steam Community profile, the ESL profile, the Sentinel player statistics or the CAL CS profile.

LogMod also provides other player related information, which is usually unavailable, such as the player's team, model or ping.

With HLSW it is possible that up to 25 clients can receive the Log at the same time. An extra plus for LogMod is the circumstance that you need no further configuration if you want to receive the Log behind a Router or Gateway. Therefore LogMod is easy to use by everybody. Even those who where facing the error message "logaddress: TimeOut".
